Comittee meeting minutes June 17, 2008

Well we got a long ways tonight toward creating some troop structure and organizing a few thing. Thank you to everyone for your participation and input. The more participation the better, and we'll work toward the best that God wants for our boys.

There are some items the we got pretty well finalized and some things that we got a good start on. Here is what we have so far.

Camp dates
These are what we will call our 'best dates', we will also need to formulate backup plans, which will be worked on at the planning meeting.
July 1 - no troop meeting
July 18-20
July 26 - space derby
Aug 22-24
Sept 26-28 or Sept 19-21, we'll get this nailed down
Oct 17-19 - Webelos Woods
November 14-16
December 12-14

Adult Leader Positions
Most of these are temporary nominations, I want to have more discussions about what jobs need done, and make sure everyones expectations are the same. Also I want to make sure everyone is plugged in in the best place. We can switch and change along the way as necessary.
Treasurer - David W
Advancement Coordinator - Mike R or Sharisse D
Chaplain - Tim T
Training Coordinator - Gary I
Equipment Coordinator - ?
Outdoor Activities Coordinator - Brian Howard
Secretary / Web site - Gary R
Membership chair- ?
Youth Protection chair - ?

Other needs to be discussed
Assistant Scoutmasters,
Specific training needs such as Shooting sports instructors, climbing instructors, life guards, etc...
Merit Badge Councilors - fill out the forms, and I'll bring more adult leader forms next week.

The Plan from Here
There will be a planning meeting this weekend. Next week we will analyze the plan that the boys come up with, finalize everything discussed here, and start work on putting together the rest of our scout year.
